Tata Cars Price Hike: Tata cars, EVs to get expensive from January 2024: Details

Indian automobile manufacturer Tata Motors recently announced that it is considering a price hike across its ICE models and electric vehicles from January 2024. The company did not specify the percentage of the proposed price hike as of now.
Tata Motors spokesperson said, “We are considering a price hike across our passenger and electric vehicles in January 2024.The extent of the hike and exact details will be announced in a few weeks.”
Typically, many manufacturers, such as Maruti Suzuki, Audi and Mercedes-Benz choose to unveil price increases around this period to liquidate existing inventory for the upcoming year and entice customers to make year-end purchases. In turn, consumers tend to postpone buying in December with the aim of securing a more favourable resale value when they decide to sell their vehicles later on.
Currently, Tata Motors’ India line-up includes the Tiago, Tigor, Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Nexon, Nexon EV, Punch, Altroz, Harrier facelift and Safari facelift. The company’s passenger vehicle prices start from Rs 5.6 lakh for the Tata Tiago and go up to Rs 25.94 lakh for the Tata Safari facelift.
