Tata Motors EVs cross one lakh sales: New Nexon, Harrier, Punch, Curvv EV launch soon

Tata Motors has announced that its electric vehicles have together achieved a sales milestone of one lakh units. The company’s EV portfolio currently consists of three cars, namely Nexon EV, Tiago EV and Tigor EV. Tata claims that the last 50,000 units were achieved in the last nine months itself.

Tata EVs have covered a total distance of 1.4 billion kilometers, which is about three round trips to the sun.

The EVs are claimed to have saved a notable 2,19,432 tons of CO2 emissions. Tata Motors also claims that its EV owners have collectively saved a staggering Rs 7 billion on fuel costs during the ownership of their electric vehicles.
While the Tata Motors’ EV lineup only consists of three offerings right now, the company is in the works of developing a range of new fully-electric cars which would include production versions of Curvv, Harrier EV, Sierra EV and Avinya concepts, as well as the battery-powered versions of Punch and Altroz. The existing Tata Nexon EV is also set to be updated in September this year, while electric versions of Punch, Harrier and the Curvv are slated for a launch in 2024.
