The Tata Punch EV has been launched with prices starting at Rs 10.99 lakh and going up to Rs 14.49 lakh for the top-spec variant. Deliveries for the electric SUV are scheduled to commence from January 22nd. The electrified Punch will be available in five variants, namely, Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+. Interested customers can book the EV at a nominal token amount of Rs 21,000.

Talking about the new look, one of the biggest highlights of the updated front fascia is the Nexon-inspired LED light bar running along the width of the bonnet, along with a refreshed bumper and grille design.Key features include split LED headlights and a silver faux skid plate. Besides that, the Punch EV will be the first electric car from Tata to have a charger at the front, right under the brand’s logo.
Moving towards the rear, it has tail lights that look like the ones on the ICE version, featuring Y-shaped brake lights. There’s also a spoiler on the roof and a unique redesigned bumper. Sideways, it gets new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and disc brakes on all the wheels, which will be exclusive for the higher-spec variants.

Tata Punch EV: Interiors and features
Inside, the Punch EV has a stylish dual-tone theme, upgraded premium upholstery, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo (inspired from its bigger siblings such as Safari and Harrier), and a 10.23-inch infotainment screen. Other features include ventilated seats, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for the infotainment system, a wireless charger, sunroof. The interior is somewhat similar to the facelifted Nexon.
Tata Punch EV: Battery and range
The Tata Punch EV will offer two battery choices. One is a 25 kWh battery pack providing an estimated range of 315 km, and the other is a long-range 35 kWh battery pack with an estimated range of 421 km.
The Tata Punch EV offers two e-drive options: a 120 bhp, 190 Nm torque version, and an 80 bhp, 114 Nm torque version. Both are permanent magnet non-synchronous motors.
Tata Punch EV: Safety features
In terms of safety, standard features across all variants include 6 Airbags, Electronic Stability Program, ISOFIX, Roll-over mitigation, Brake Disc Wiping, and Hydraulic fading compensation. It also gets a 360-degree camera which is exclusive for the top-spec trim.
