Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is a love story between a man and a robot. The film had a lot going for it, from music to the chemistry between the lead pair – in spite of that, the film began on a slow note by minting just about Rs 6.7 crore on day 1. The positive word of mouth spread and it showed a major spike on Saturday and collected Rs 9.65 crore, showing a 44% jump and on Sunday, it saw a jump of about 11 % to collect Rs 10.75 crore, thus taking the first weekend total of the film to Rs 27.10 crore.

The film is actually facing no competition, as Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter is already in its third week and on a downward trend. So the Monday test was extremely important for Shahid and Kriti starrer, as it would really show how much the public has liked the film and are willing to step out on a working day to watch the film. The film on Monday dropped by nearly 65% to collect Rs 3.75 crore as per early trends by industry tracker Sacnilk, taking the total collection of the film to Rs 30.85 crore . It is a significant fall but the number the film has collected is still respectable.
With tomorrow being Valentine’s day, it would be interesting to see if the film picks up.With Article 370 starring Yami Gautam releasing next week, and Operation Valentine starring Varun Tej and Manushi Chhillar releasing on March 1, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has hardly any competition at the box office. So trade would expect the film to cover up the business in the weeks to come.
