The 2024 Porsche 911 S/T: The Lightest 911 Available in the Market

To celebrate the 911’s 60th birthday, Porsche has introduced the Porsche 911 S/T. Unlike typical anniversary editions, the 911 S/T is a lightweight road car that takes inspiration from the 911 GT3 Touring and 911 GT3 RS. The car weighs in at 3,056 lbs, making it 70 lbs lighter than the 911 GT3 Touring. Porsche achieved this by using lightweight components such as carbon fiber reinforced plastic for the hood, roof, front fenders, and doors. The car also features magnesium wheels, a lithium-ion starter battery, and lightweight glass. The 911 S/T is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-four engine from the 911 GT3 RS, generating 518 hp and 342 lb-ft of torque. It comes with a manual transmission for an engaging driving experience. While it may not deliver the best track times, the 911 S/T is designed to be an incredibly fun-to-drive road car. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 186 mph. Only 1,963 units of the 911 S/T will be produced, making it a limited edition model. Customers can add the Heritage Design Package for a unique touch, including Shore Blue Metallic paint and Ceramica wheels, as well as a customizable starting number on the doors. The starting price for the 911 S/T, including destination, is $291,650. Deliveries are expected to begin next spring.
