It’s been a bumper few weeks for PSVR 2 fans, as Sony announces new games like Metro Awakening, Legendary Tales, Akka Arrh and Zombie Army VR. But perhaps even better news is that hugely addictive rhythm game Drums Rock has just received a new DLC pack to celebrate its one-year anniversary on PlayStation VR 2. Available for £5.79, the Power Metal Music Pack adds six new songs to the superb rhythm action game. This includes Hearts On Fire by HammerFall, King for a Day by Battle Beast, Blood Of The Elves by Blind Guardian and When Angels Kill by Fifth Angel.

Representing a real challenge even on the easier settings, metal fans can also drum along to Higher by NorthTale and Twilight Force by the band of the same name.

The news was announced by Drums Rock developer Garage51 on X (formerly Twitter): “Today marks the one-year anniversary of the release of PSVR2 and Drums Rock.

“We celebrate it with the launch of the new Drums Rock DLC, Power Metal Music Pack! Play Drums Rock and feel the power of Metal!”

Songs from the Power Metal Pack can also be purchased individually, while new customers have the option to purchase the core game with all DLC for just £29.99.

The Complete Music Edition contains previously released add-on packs including The Legendary Mix featuring The Offspring and Lit, as well as the Undertale pack containing music from the popular RPG.

Then there’s the Drums Rock Simply Plan Music Pack, which features four of the band’s hits such as Crazy and Welcome to My Life.

With the Power Metal Music Pack now available to buy on PSVR 2 and Steam VR, developer Garage51 has given fans a taste of what to expect in the future.

In a poll on X, the Drums Rock studio asked fans to vote on which bands they would like to see in the game.

Green Day narrowly beat Slipknot to top the poll, with Iron Maiden and Muse also receiving a decent chunk of votes.

More licensed music from popular bands would make for an even better experience, so fingers crossed we get some additional DLC soon.
