The Lott searching for two new millionaires who bought tickets in NSW

Two of Australia’s newest millionaires could be walking around completely oblivious to their life-changing luck, with lottery officials eagerly awaiting to hear from them.

Two tickets — one worth $1 million and a second worth $1.7 million — belong to mystery winners in NSW who may not even know their bank accounts are about to receive a significant top-up.

The entry — worth $1.7 million — is unregistered, meaning The Lott officials have no way of contacting the winner and breaking the news to them.

What they do know is that the ticket was bought from Quakers Court Newsagency in Sydney’s northwestern suburbs.

Newsagency owner Jeff Shen is doing his bit to get the word out, decorating the store and sharing the news with customers.

“We just hope the winner comes forward soon and claims their prize,” he said.

Lotto Strike is an add-on game played with Saturday Lotto and Monday and Wednesday Lotto.

The goal is to select the first four numbers in the exact order they are drawn during the Lotto draw.

The winning numbers for Saturday’s draw were 44, 40, 35 and 17.

Meanwhile, a Gundagai resident or visitor is walking around with a very valuable ticket and is potentially oblivious to the fact they pocketed $1 million in the March 18 Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw.

They hold the only division one entry for draw 4374, but the ticket is unregistered, meaning The Lott can’t contact the winner.

The ticket was picked up at Gundagai Foodworks and LPO in Gundagai, 300km southwest of Sydney.

“This is such exciting news for a small country town like Gundagai. We’re definitely in awe this morning after realising that our outlet had sold an entry worth $1 million,” Foodworks supervisor Katie Morris said.

“The mystery winner could be anyone walking around the town, or it could’ve been a visitor passing by.”

‘They might have no idea they’ve won’

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said they were very keen to unite the winner with their prize.

“It’s likely our latest winner is going about their day as normal with no idea they’ve won division one,” she said.

The winning numbers in the Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw were 2, 4, 16, 27, 34 and 39, while the supplementary numbers were 11 and 18.
