This Apocalypse-Ready Off-Roader Can Definitely Survive A Car Wash

If you like the Tesla Cybertruck for its angular styling and alleged toughness, then consider this Zeal Motor Fat Truck 2.8C that’s currently for sale on Bring A Trailer. It may not be able to beat a Porsche 911 in a drag race while towing a Porsche 911, but neither can the Cybertruck. The Fat Truck does however seat eight, have an external roll cage, and unfathomably large 1640×640 Fat Truck low pressure tires and a central tire inflation system to keep you moving over land and water.

The interior is certainly utilitarian, but it features niceties like air conditioning, a reverse camera, bucket seats and shoulder belts. The panel fitment and finish is likely on par with the Cybertruck’s. And unlike the Cybertruck’s controversial steering setup, the Fat Truck is steered via a joystick which allows users to drive from either side of the vehicle. This stubby looking beast is powered by a Caterpillar 2.2-liter turbodiesel four cylinder engine that produces a factory claimed 67 horsepower that naturally gets sent to all four wheels. This surprisingly small engine can get the Fat Truck up to a top speed of 25 miles per hour on land, and 3.1 miles per hour on water according to the Fat Truck website.

This true all-terrain vehicle looks big, but it’s actually over 10 inches shorter than a Honda Civic, and over five feet shorter than a Cybertruck. It is only five inches wider than a Cybertruck, but it is significantly taller at a height of 8.4 feet. This Fat Truck is not registered for on-road use, and it does not have a title, making it slightly less usable than a Cybertruck, but not by much given the Cybertruck’s spectacular array of quality blunders.

If you’re serious about off-road recreation, then this purpose-built machine is the ultimate toy for you. While it isn’t technically registered for road use, what are they gonna do, tow you? Probably not. Having said that, Jalopnik does not endorse or promote breaking the law.

If someone were to buy this and use a Cybertruck as a ramp I’m sure it would get tons of views on the social medias. This might be the next viral influencer car; I could see Daniel Mac running up to it on Rodeo Drive and asking the driver what they do for a living. If you’re a burgeoning automotive influencer then this Fat Truck might be your ticket to fame. Plus it’s got the best name of any vehicle on the market, a Fat Truck. Buy it for the clout and worry about the consequences later.
