Three people injured in suspected stabbing attack at Civic Hotel on Pitt St, Sydney

Three people have been taken to hospital following a suspected stabbing at a Sydney CBD pub.

Police were called to the Civic Hotel on the corner of Goulburn and Pitt streets following reports of a concern for welfare.

Three people aged in their 20s, a woman and two men, were found with minor injuries.

7NEWS understands the three people were injured in an alleged stabbing during a brawl.

One man sustained a superficial cut to his neck, while the other man and woman suffered facial injuries.

“All three were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment,” NSW Police said.

The two men were arrested and are under police guard at St Vincent’s and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Police have taped off a laneway on Pitt St next to the hotel where they think a brawl between the two men occurred.

They are also looking at a pair of scissors which may have been used in the incident.

Parts of Pitt St and Goulburn St remain in lockdown.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
