Japanese Automaker Toyota has teased its upcoming Toyota Century luxury SUV. The SUV will be officially revealed on September 6th 2023 and the new luxury SUV will sit beside Century luxury sedan. The Century SUV was confirmed by the brand a few months ago when it revealed the new Vellfire and Alphard luxury MPVs.
It is said that the new Century SUV will be based on the same monocoque platform as the Toyota Grand Highlander SUV. The SUV could measure up to 5.3 meters in length and could come with three three-row seating options.
The new Century SUV will be aimed towards chauffeur-driven buyers. It will be offered with a huge amount of space and creature comfort features such as leatherette seats, reclining second-row seats, television, mini refrigerator, multi-zone climate control, massaging seats with ventilation, panoramic sunroof, rear sunshades, multi-colour ambient lighting, multiple air-con vents at the rear, control screen at the centre, premium sound system and much more.

Talking about the engine and gearbox, the luxury SUV is expected to be powered by a 3.5-litre V6 paired with electric motors which combined put out more than 400 hp of power. It will come paired with an automatic gearbox which sends power to all four wheels.
The price for the Toyota Crown luxury SUV is expected to start from Rs 2.5 crores (ex-showroom). When launched, this could potentially be a competitor to Bentley Bentayga, Range Rover, BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
