Motorists on the NSW Central Coast are being warned to expect heavy traffic and delays following a truck fire on a major motorway.
Commuters are facing “significant delays” hours after the vehicle caught alight on the M1 Pacific Mwy at Mt White early on Thursday morning.
Multiple NSW Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to a truck fire just past Morgans Rd about 2am and shut all southbound lanes as they battled the blaze.

NSW Police said the blaze appears to have been caused by a mechanical issue.
The truck driver was taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
All southbound lanes were reopened by 7am as the torched truck was moved to the road shoulder, however, traffic remains heavy hours later as the clean-up continues.
Both the southbound on-ramp from Morgans Rd and the southbound off-ramp to Morgans Rd are closed and will remain closed until at least Saturday.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution and expect delays.
Drivers trying to access the motorway at Mt White are asked to use either the Peats Ridge Rd on-ramp at Calga or Pacific Hwy on-ramp at Mooney Mooney.
Live Traffic NSW warned there may be short closures of all southbound lanes as clean-up works continue and infrastructure is assessed after the fire.
“Continue to allow extra travel time and follow the directions of traffic crews on site,” it said.
