Article content “The real Howard Stern is a weak, pathetic, and disloyal guy, who lost his friends and MUCH of his audience,” Trump vented on his Truth Social platform. Article content “I did his show many times in the good old days, and then he went Woke, and nobody cares about him any longer,” Trump continued. Last week, the outspoken SiriusXM radio personality recalled how a listener criticized him recently for softening as he’s gotten older. “I hear that a lot that I’m not good anymore because I’m woke,” said Stern [per Mediaite]. The self-described “King of All Media” has been an outspoken critic of Trump, anti-vaxxers and, more recently, Republican congresswoman Lauren Boebert, who he criticized for her lewd behaviour in a Denver theatre earlier this month. Article content But Stern said he’s unmoved by such insults. “I’ll tell you how I feel about it. To me the opposite of woke is being asleep,” he said. “I kind of take that as a compliment, that I’m woke,” Stern continued. “If woke means I can’t get behind Trump, which is what I think it means, or that I support people who want to be transgender or I’m for the vaccine, dude call me woke as you f—ing want.” Stern also tackled claims by Trump and his supporters that Joe Biden won the 2020 U.S. election thanks to fraudulent votes. “Here’s how woke I am: I believe the election was not rigged.” In response, Trump went on a late-night rant writing that Stern’s “influence is gone.” “Just a broken weirdo, unattractive both inside and out, trying like hell to be relevant!” he continued. Article content On Monday morning, Stern responded to Trump’s diatribe, telling listeners, “Trump was writing that I was a broken weirdo because I wasn’t loyal, which is weird, because I don’t work for him. I don’t even know what he’s talking about. He wrote about me that I’m a broken weirdo and I’m ugly.” Stern said he was “moved” that Trump decided to bash him at “2 in the morning.” Prior to his run to become U.S. president in 2016, the two were pals with Trump appearing on Stern’s shows many times over a 17-year-period. According to CNN’s KFile, among the topics Trump discussed: his daughter Ivanka’s physique, having sex with women on their menstrual cycles, threesomes, dumping women after they turn 35 and infidelity. Article content “She’s actually always been very voluptuous,” Trump told Stern. “She’s tall, she’s almost 6 feet tall and she’s been, she’s an amazing beauty.” “Can I say this? A piece of ass,” Stern asked, to which Trump responded affirmatively. But with the friendship long since over, Stern spoke about getting his onetime pal riled up over the weekend. “I don’t know what woke means … It shocks me that the dumbest s— I talk about becomes news,” Stern lamented. “I’m not mad at Bud Light because they gave a transgendered girl a beer. I happened to say I’m woke. I love the vaccine. I feel grateful to this country, I feel protected by this country, I love gay rights, I support people getting ahead … I don’t know what woke means, but I guess the opposite is asleep. I like to read mainstream media. I believe Trump lost the election. I didn’t see any evidence that Trump won the election. Article content Stern went on to add that he thinks Former Chief Medical Advisor to the President of United States Anthony Fauci is a “great person.” “Why? He’s a medical person who dedicated his life to preventing viruses and pandemics. So I guess I’m woke. I like it. I care about the climate, I care about the future of our country … it sounds like a good thing to be awake.” “I guess you were fine until you said you thought he lost the election,” Stern’s co-host Robin Quivers said.
