TVS Apache RTR 310 launch next month: What to expect from RR 310-based naked streetfighter

TVS Motor Company finally put all rumours to rest earlier this week by confirming that it is indeed, all set to launch a 310 cc naked motorcycle under the Apache series. Expected to be called Apache RTR 310, the streetfighter will likely be the naked version of the Apache RR 310 which is currently TVS’ flagship offering.

TVS has already started accepting pre-bookings for the Apache RTR 310 despite not confirming the model name or showcasing the final product.

The upcoming Apache RTR 310 naked streetfighter can be pre-booked on the official TVS website for a token amount of Rs 3,100, with a launch set to take place on September 6, 2023.
That said, the recent teasers revealed by the company shows the silhouette of the motorcycle which makes it look quite unique and aggressive. It should be noted that the TVS Apache RR 310 platform is already used for one naked motorcycle i.e. BMW G 310 R, however, the Apache RTR 310 seems to have no similarities to the Beemer whatsoever, in terms of design of course.
The teaser video reveals a true naked design with less body panels, golden upside down forks at the front, a minimalistic tail section, as well as twin LED DRLs on the low-mounted headlamp that seems to have taken inspiration from the Ducati Streetfighter. That said, the Apache RTR 310 is expected to carry over the same mechanical bits as its faired sibling.

Powering the Apache RTR 310 will be the same 312.2 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine that puts out 33.5 hp of maximum power and 27.3 Nm of peak torque. A slight difference in the tune could be expected, however, the transmission will be the same 6-speed gearbox. The Apache RTR 310 could be priced from around Rs 2.6 lakh (ex-showroom), and will rival KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, Honda CB300R, among other similarly priced naked motorcycles.
