Two men and a young child suffered gunshot wounds following a shooting near the Distillery District on Saturday.

Toronto Police say they received reports of a shooting at The Esplanade and Princess St. just after 6 p.m.

“When officers arrived on scene, they located three people with gunshot wounds,” Insp. Lori Kranenburg said. “They were all taken to local hospitals.”
Insp. Kranenburg said two of the victims, a man in his 50s and another man in his 80s, are in serious but non-life threatening condition. The other victim, a child under the age of five, has superficial injuries.
Police declined to describe the relationship between the men and child.
Cops describe a suspect as male, tall, thin and wearing all black clothes.
A suspect vehicle is described as dark in colour with dark rims, and was last seen heading east on Front St. from Princess St.

“Police believe that this was a targeted incident, and that there is no ongoing threat to the community,” Insp. Kranenburg said.
