Vistara Plane Engine Sustains Damage After Being Hit by Ground Service Equipment at Mumbai Airport

An incident at Mumbai airport has resulted in extensive engine damage to a Vistara Airbus A320 neo aircraft. According to a source, the aircraft was struck by a towing tractor, causing the damage. The plane was scheduled to fly from Mumbai to Kolkata but has now been grounded for necessary repairs.

A spokesperson from Vistara confirmed the incident, stating that while on the ground, flight UK 775 was hit by ground service equipment, leading to damage to one of the engines. The aircraft is currently undergoing checks and repairs, with an alternate aircraft being arranged to minimize inconvenience to customers.
