Call of Duty Warzone Season 2 is about to make its debut on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Warzone Season 2 has a February 7 release date and a 5pm GMT UK launch time. The new season will be accompanied by a big update, which introduces new gameplay features, the return of Fortune’s Keep, Resurgence Refocused and a brand new Battle Pass, complete with new Operator Skins, weapons and lots more.

The headline new feature is the return of Fortune’s Keep, which is back with 11 points of interest and a ton of changes.

Activision explains more: “It’s been decades since the last battles were fought across this historic Mediterranean isle, and although seemingly familiar, Fortune’s Keep holds a great many new secrets.

“The island has evolved; Konni Group has set up a base of operations, conducting mysterious experiments within a new underground laboratory.”

Points of interest include the Terraces, the Keep, Konni Outpost, Pier, Winery, Lighthouse, Overlook, Ground Zero, Town, Graveyard and Gatehouse.

New gameplay features include Zombie Nests and Eradication Contracts in Fortune’s Keep, which will be available during the launch window.

“Operators should be aware that recent seismic events may be linked to increased undead activity across the island,” Activision explains.

“Therefore, a new and temporary Eradication Contract has been issued to all available Operators: Investigate any corpse you find, following tracks to a Zombie Nest of localised Zombie activity; they are infesting the island!

“Destroy the cysts, and any Zombie HVTs before the Contract completes. The exact type of HVT may change depending on time and other factors.”

Fans will also be able to take part in the Rogue Signal Public Event, which is playable for a limited time.

These events will pop up during games, giving players a new objective to complete within 90 seconds. Objectives include getting the most kills, dealing the most damage and opening the most caches.

The top three teams will receive a cash prize, as well as the location of a special Reward Cache.

Fans can also expect new Zombies-based power-ups, including reduced shop prices, full armour, increased movement speed and more.

Elsewhere, Season 2 adds extendable bridges within the map, which can be controlled manually to potentially stop other players from following you.

There’s also an exciting new Battle Pass, which adds Walking Dead character Rick Grimes as a playable Operator.

“He’s joined by Station Chief Kate Laswell, while BlackCell owners also receive the anonymous but infamous undead BlackCell Operator John Doe,” Activision continues.

“The Battle Pass comes packed with a variety of unlockable content, with Skins for Soap, Alpine, Farah, Valeria, Price, Warden, and Riptide, and multiple Skins for Ghost. Expect a deep dive into all the Skins, Weapons, Blueprints, and other items to unlock in a showcase blog prior to Season 2 launch.”

Full Warzone Season 2 patch notes will be revealed closer to launch, so check back to read about the latest changes and gameplay tweaks.
