Watch: Wasim Akram humorously schools Aussie commentators for their struggle to pronounce ‘Fakhar’ | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: In a funny incident, Pakistan legend Wasim Akram humorously schooled Australian commentators over their inability to pronounce the name ‘Fakhar’ properly in the commentary box during Australia-Pakistan Test series.
A video of the hilarious conversation is doing the rounds on social media in which Akram can be seen asking his fellow commentators to try pronounce ‘Fakhar’.
Akram said, “And there’s another name you guys mess up as well. Try pronounce Fakhar.”
Akram’s request had everyone bursting into laughter, clearly showing Aussies’ struggle to pronounce the word. Akram went on to share an incident with his wife and said, “So Shaniera came to Pakistan and my son’s friend’s name was Fakhar. He brought his friend who was about 12-year-old and he said, ‘this is my friend, Fakhar’. She said, ‘hang on a minute’. Because Australians can’t pronounce K in their language, it took her about two years to pronounce his name.”

Akram and the Australian commentators also discussed the amusing incident where the legendary Mark Waugh struggled to pronounce the name ‘Fakhar Zaman‘ during a show.
The viral video moment occurred during the third and final Test match in Sydney and has since been humorously embraced by fans.
Pakistan suffered a 0-3 whitewash against Australia in the three-match Test series and 17th successive defeat on Australian soil. It is the longest losing streak by any team against an opponent in a particular country.
Australia started the series with an impressive 360-run triumph, followed by a 79-run victory in the next game. Pakistan’s attempt to secure a 1-2 outcome in the third Test faltered as they succumbed to an eight-wicket defeat.
