WhatsApp Unveils Android Beta Update to Resolve Emoji Keyboard Crash

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has released an update to fix the emoji keyboard crash issue on Android beta. Some users were experiencing crashes when using the emoji keyboard, as well as problems with configuring avatars, accessing the privacy section, and adding text over images using the drawing editor. The bug-fix update can be installed by updating to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.15.22 version from the Google Play Store. The update will automatically install if the Google Play Store’s auto-download settings are enabled. This fix will prevent the crash from occurring.

In addition, on Thursday, WhatsApp faced a global outage, including in India, due to connectivity problems. The outage lasted for about 20 minutes. However, the issue was resolved quickly, and the platform assured users that they wouldn’t miss any messages. According to reports, 61% of people experienced problems with sending messages, 35% had issues with using the application, and 4% encountered problems with the website. Last month, WhatsApp also had a global outage that lasted for about two hours, impacting users’ ability to use the platform on mobile and desktop devices, as well as causing difficulties with sending and downloading media.
