Salman Khan is known to live in the same house – at Galaxy Apartments, since so many years. He stays with his parents and entire family together. But did you know he was offered to buy Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Mannat‘ first? In an interview, the actor had revealed the same. Khan also said that he didn’t buy this house because of what his father told him.
In an old interview with Bollywood Hungama, Salman was asked about the one thing which Shah Rukh Khan has, which he wished he had.Responding to it, Salman said, “That bungalow of his.” He further added, “That had come to me when I was just starting off. My dad said itne bade ghar mein karoge kya? (What will you do in such a big house?)”
Salman also laughed and said, “And now I want to ask Shah Rukh what he does in such a big house?”
According to a report by Housing.com, the value of ‘Mannat’ is around Rs 200 crores now. During the launch of Gauri Khan‘s book ‘My Life In Design’, SRK had revealed that he did not have the money to afford an interior designer and hence he asked Gauri to design the house. “The only person to turn to was Gauri. I told her, you have some artistic talent, why don’t you become the designer? Frankly Mannat started that way, so whatever little money we earned over the years were spent in buying some stuff. Like once we went to South Africa, we bought leather for the sofa. Back then we were only allowed to carry 100 dollars or some little money abroad from India and they were spent only on buying decoration pieces for the house,” revealed SRK.”
Well, Salman and SRK are now neighbours and fans love to gather around both their houses to see them on special occasions.
