Why an iS Clinical simple skincare regime is the key to a glowing complexion

The first introduction I had to the brand iS Clinical was watching a video shared to YouTube by supermodel mum Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

The 37-year-old wife, mother and entrepreneur was speaking about her battle with acne prone skin, and referred to the incredibly simple but effective ingredients iS Clinical incorporates into its formulations that don’t sensitise her already inflamed skin.

I’ve been struggling with similarly inflamed skin and frequent breakouts.

So I decided to finally investigate what’s so special about the cosmeceutical brand, by using just four of its best-selling products.

To start with, I swapped out my fairly stripping cleanser for the iS Clinical Cleansing Complex, which you can actually pick up on Amazon Australia.

The 100mL bottle may seem small but you only need the smallest amount to rinse off dirt, sunscreen and makeup at the end of your day.

I noticed immediately my skin didn’t feel “tight” after using it once in the morning and at night.

But I never felt like I needed to go in with a second cleanse to really delve deeper into the pores.

It has thousands of five-star reviews on Amazon with shoppers calling it a “miracle” for just about all skin types — there is no one who won’t benefit from using this cleanser.

Suitably impressed, I followed my cleansing strategy up with the brand’s Hydra-Cool Serum which contains antioxidants, essential botanicals and bio-nutrients to help calm down inflamed skin.

It’s incredible if you end up sunburnt — not that I recommend that — and takes the “sting” away from freshly shaved skin too.

So it’s a product from which the whole family can benefit.

I like to apply a super hydrating serum before any actives in my routine as a way of protecting my skin from any sensitivity.

Which leads me to the next product: iS Clinical’s powerhouse Retinol+ Emulsion 0.3.

Vitamin A is one of the best possible treatments for acne and cystic pimples so adding a topical retinol into your routine is one of the best courses moving forward, as long as it’s introduced gently.

I have to say it normally takes a good few weeks for me to notice any difference with a retinol.

But I spotted a significant diminishing in overall redness and breakouts within just a few days after slipping this product into my line up.

To finish the routine with a moisturiser, I opted for iS Clinical’s Extreme Protect, a restorative but hydrating sun cream that contains micro-fine zinc oxide and microencapsulated organic active sunscreens.

You don’t have to use a separate hydrator of a morning, just pop on the Extreme Protect and away you go.

Suffice to say, I owe Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for pointing me in the direction of iS Clinical.
