Jess and Will have been candid about their relationship progress since the finale episode aired in October 2022.

By that point, Jess had already made the move from Queensland to Will’s sheep farm in Berriwillock, Victoria, something she admits was “a bit difficult”.

However, it appears things are still going from strength to strength, with Jess telling hosts Kylie Gillies and Matt Doran of their family plans.

“We definitely do want to start a family, it’s definitely something we both want,” Jess said.

But she added that, with considerations such as her career and wanting to “wait for the right time”, babies were on hold.

That doesn’t mean the family hasn’t already expanded though – with the couple sharing some big news.

They welcomed a fur baby – a dachshund named Clyde – after Will adopted him for Jess’ birthday.

The farmer admitted he was “not a small dog person”, and Jess played a “big part” in the decision to get Clyde.

“I’ve got two kelpies. Clyde has fit in very well, he was Jess’ birthday present earlier this year,” Will told the hosts.

“It’s all about compromise,” he laughed.

Talking about her move to Victoria, Jess told the show she had “adjusted quite well to farm life”.

“If anything, I just miss my friends and family back home,” she admitted.

“I think it’s always a bit difficult, being a bit older, moving – especially to a small country town where they can be quite close-knit.

“But it’s been really good and I have been loving the farm life.”

Will agreed, adding that his girlfriend had adjusted “very well”.

“She’s fitted right in, which is very pleasing. It was a bit daunting when someone moves out to the country, away from everything they know, but Jess has done really well,” he said.

“She is playing netball at Sea Lake, the local football-netball club, she has made lots of friends, helps on the farm, she has fit in really well with my family as well which is a huge bonus.

“It’s good having her here.”

Will shared his relief that the attention off the back of the show is starting to “die off a little bit”, something he said was “nice”.

“It’s going back to normal but I still get noticed a bit, I still cop a bit of slack on the football field which is a bit of fun,” he laughed.

The couple also shared that they have been training for the Melbourne marathon this weekend, with Jess attempting the 21km run while Will is sticking to 10km.

“We’re running for Lifeline,” Will said.

“I think it’s very fitting for us out here. We don’t have services that you can just pop into town for, so that phone call does really save lives out here.”
