Woman hit by car while sitting at Drummoyne bus stop

A woman has been hit by a car while sitting at a bus stop in Sydney’s inner west.

Two other people are also being treated by paramedics at the scene of the car accident on the corner of Victoria Rd and Westbourne St in Drummoyne.

7NEWS understands the 25-year-old woman was sitting at the bus stop about 8am when the car left the road and struck her.

The car first collided with a bus, police said.

The car then hit the bus shelter where the woman was waiting.

She suffered leg, arm and head injuries in the incident.

Emergency services are currently on the scene.

A woman in her 40s is currently also being treated by paramedics.

No information is known about the third person requiring treatment.

Motorists are advised there will be significant delays as a result of the incident.

Two of five city-bound lanes of Victoria Rd are closed at Westbourne St, with city-bound traffic queued back onto the Gladesville Bridge.

Motorists are advised to allow plenty of additional travel time and exercise caution with emergency services and traffic crews on site.

City-bound buses on Victoria Rd are delayed and buses will be missing the stop on Victoria Rd after Wolseley St.
