A young boatie has come up with an ingenious way to transport his tinnie across land, without the need for a car or truck.
The 14-year-old boy was filmed by a bystander towing the boat with his electric scooter in Deception Bay.

The youngster told 7NEWS.com.au he was taking the boat from his home in Rothwell in Moreton Bay to the nearby Deception Bay Mud Flats.
He said he used a pants belt around his waist to attach the boat trailer’s towing strap to himself — which was his dad’s idea.
As for the scooter, the boy says it was able to handle the two-way trip with half its battery power remaining.
“When it goes uphill, it has some problems, but downhill and flat, it pulls it fine,” he said.
Commenters on the 7NEWS Brisbane Facebook page were full of praise for the boy’s innovation, which was described as “inspirational” and a “new way” for people to get their boat to water.
“At least he isn’t going on the road and holding up traffic,” said one person.
Another said: “Nothing stops a good fish.”
According to the Queensland government’s website, there are no rules about the type of vehicles that can legally be used to tow another vehicle, however people are advised to use a “suitable vehicle”.
It says vehicles and trailers must be roadworthy and registered.
Queensland police have been contacted for comment. The state department of transport declined to comment.
