YouTube Star MrBeast Files Lawsuit Against Fast Food Chain for Serving Inedible Burgers

The YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, has filed a lawsuit against the company responsible for his fast food chain, MrBeast Burger, alleging that the food is “inedible.”

In his lawsuit, filed on Monday, Donaldson claims that the company has severely damaged his reputation. He is requesting that a judge grant him the right to terminate the partnership, citing the company’s poor-quality products.

Lawyers representing Virtual Dining Concepts, the company in question, have responded by stating that Donaldson’s legal claims are filled with false statements and inaccuracies.

Donaldson, who has over 171 million subscribers and is the largest individual YouTuber in the world, partnered with Virtual Dining Concepts in 2020 to launch MrBeast Burger. The restaurant operates out of “ghost kitchens” that exclusively cater to food delivery services.

MrBeast Burger operates in 40 locations in the UK and 1,700 locations in the US.

Fans of MrBeast have taken to Twitter to share images of raw meat in their burgers, leading to negative customer reviews such as “a terrible meme burger,” “disgusting,” and “revolting,” all of which are included in the lawsuit.

In June, Donaldson expressed his disappointment with the quality of MrBeast Burger in a response to a fan on Twitter, stating that he couldn’t guarantee the order’s quality due to working with other restaurants.

According to the lawsuit, “Virtual Dining Concepts was more focused on rapidly expanding the business as a way to pitch the virtual restaurant model to other celebrities for its own benefit, it was not focused on controlling the quality of the MrBeast Burger customer experience and products.”

In response, Virtual Dining Concepts’ lawyers stated, “The complaint is riddled with false statements and inaccuracies and is a thinly veiled attempt to distract from Mr Donaldson’s and Beast Investments’ breaches of the agreements between the parties, including Mr Donaldson’s recent false, disparaging statements regarding the MrBeast brand and VDC.”

They accused Donaldson of filing a “meritless” lawsuit in response to VDC’s refusal to comply with his “bullying tactics.”

During the opening of Donaldson’s first physical burger restaurant in September, thousands of fans visited a mall in New Jersey.

In 2021, Donaldson launched his “Beast Philanthropy” YouTube channel, which has over 10 million subscribers. He frequently gives away large sums of cash and performs acts of kindness, such as rebuilding homes for tornado survivors.
