The government official stated that there is no plan to create separate policies for one company. Tesla has been urging for a reduction in import taxes on electric vehicles, but the government has been insisting on the establishment of a manufacturing facility in India. Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister, encouraged Tesla to manufacture and sell cars in India, promising the government’s support. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, expressed confidence in bringing Tesla to India. Last month, Tesla’s representatives met with members of various ministries in India.
