Delhi Police’s two-wheeler safety appeal shows biker falling after failed stunt: Overboard?

Two-wheelers are some of the most vulnerable vehicles out on the road, which is why it is recommended to wear proper not only proper, mandated headgear i.e. helmet, but also other riding gear in order to protect yourself in case of a crash. Delhi Police recently posted a safety appeal for two-wheeler riders on its social media handles in video format based on the ongoing ‘Moye Moye‘ trend.
While the trend is nothing but the song “Moye More” by Serbian singer-songwriter Teya Dora playing in the background, the video that Delhi Police has shared alongside could actually be disturbing for some users. The insensitive video shows a motorcycle rider performing a wheelie, however, a failed attempt results in the bike’s tail section hitting the ground, resulting in a lift-off above the ground and an eventual nasty fall for the rider.
The video has amassed over 1 million views on X (formerly Twitter) and 1.2 million views on Instagram. It should be noted that the video is not actually from India given the fact that vehicles are being driven on the right-hand side of the road. Take a look at the viral video below –

Agreeing with the Delhi Police’s bigger message of two-wheeler safety, TOI Auto urges its readers to never indulge in such acts that put not only yours but the lives of other road users in danger. However, the video posted by Delhi Police feels insensitive and has been made in poor taste. Keeping in mind the importance of two-wheeler safety and promoting safe riding, better ways could surely be employed to get the message across.

Do you agree that the video shared by Delhi Police’s social media handles is a bit overboard and sways away from the important message just to keep up with the latest trend? Tell us your views in the comments down below.
