The report states that this decision has resulted in a slight decrease in fuel efficiency for the manual version. Previously, the Brezza MT with mild-hybrid technology had a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 20.15 kmpl. However, it has now dropped to 17.38 kmpl for the manual version. On the other hand, the automatic variants with mild-hybrid technology maintain their claimed fuel efficiency at 19.80 kmpl.
Maruti Suzuki has also introduced seatbelt reminders for all five seats as a standard safety feature. However, certain safety features like Electronic Stability Program and Hill-Hold Assist have been removed from the Brezza CNG variant and will only be available in the non-CNG models.
Despite these changes, there have been no price revisions for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. The car will continue to be available in the price range of Rs 8.29 lakh to Rs 14.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
Initially offered as a diesel-only SUV, the current second-gen model of the Brezza is equipped with a sole 1.5-litre K15C four-cylinder petrol engine, along with an optional CNG kit. This engine is accompanied by a 48V mild-hybrid system that provides a slight torque boost and better efficiency through an idle start-stop system.
