Dulquer Salmaanrecently joined the bandwagon of celebrities congratulating the actor on the success of the film. The south star told India Today in an interview that he feels happy for him. According to him, he knows the amount of work Sunny puts into his films.Dulquer also finds it amazing how despite having aches and pain and undergoing some surgery, he still went and did a full-on action film and put everything into this.
Elaborating further, Salmaan added that nothing makes him happier than seeing his videos and pictures now even if he is coming out of the airport or a photo of him on a plane. According to him, Sunny looks very happy and glowing.Earlier, Karan Johar had also showered praise on ‘Gadar 2’. He said that the film has blown everyone’s brains away because it was a film which was hugely successful in 2001, and now in 2023, it is breaking every record. The filmmaker also added that he has been so glad for the single screens.
‘Gadar 2’ hit theatres on August 11 and brought back on screen the iconic couple – Tara Singh and Sakeena, played by Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel respectively. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war. In the sequel, Tara Singh and Sakeena are in a happy marriage, and their son Charan Jeet Singh (played by Utkarsh Sharma, who also essayed the child’s role in 2001’s Gadar) is all grown up now. Their lives are all hunky-dory but a turn of events lands Charan Jeet in Pakistan. Tara Singh then returns to Pakistan to save his son.
The film also locked horns with Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer ‘OMG 2’ at the box office. Both the films received positive reviews from the audience and the critics alike.
