Travis Scott, Reggie Jackson, Luka Doncic turn out for Rangers-Astros game 4

Celebrity fans were out in force at Thursday night’s ALCS game four between the Rangers and the Astros in Arlington. Some were rooting for the home team, but not everyone.

Rapper Travis Scott, fresh off two concerts Tuesday and Wednesday at American Airlines Center, emerged from the Astros clubhouse before game time. “Y’all don’t have to worry about anything. Those boys are on fire,” he said, according to the Houston Chronicle’s Matt Young.

On the field, Scott joined MLB great Reggie Jackson, former Houston Texan Andre Johnson and shortstop-turned-broadcaster Derek Jeter. Scott also appeared at the game on Wednesday.

Scott’s Utopia – Circus Maximus Tour stops at American Airlines Center this week marked his biggest return to Texas since the deadly Astroworld Festival in Houston in 2021. In June, a Harris County grand jury declined to indict Scott or other event officials on criminal charges.

Showing love for the Rangers were Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki and current player Luka Doncic, who came out for the game together.

They weren’t the only ones. A television shot of Nowitzki and Doncic also showed former Dallas Cowboy Tony Romo.

The Rangers fell to the Astros 10-3 under an open roof, evening up the series at two games each ahead of Friday’s 4:07 p.m. start. Jordan Montgomery is set to take the mound against Astros ace Justin Verlander.

Other prominent figures spotted at previous ALCS games include former president George W. Bush and the Rangers’ unofficial hype band, Creed.

As fans shouted the lyrics to the song “Higher” on Wednesday, the members of the band popped up on the Jumbotron sporting Rangers jerseys.

“How could you not embrace a city that has embraced us?” singer Scott Stapp said.
