Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is currently developing a message reaction feature for channels on its Android beta version. The feature will be added to a new section called “Channel settings,” allowing admins to manage certain options for their channels. Channel admins will have the ability to control which reactions users can send to the channel. This feature is expected to be included in a future update of the app. Additionally, WhatsApp is also working on an animated avatar feature and a “link with phone number” feature for Android beta. Last month, the platform rolled out a feature that allows users to send high-quality videos, although minor compression will still be applied to the video.
