Woolworths and Coles recall popular pancake mix nationally, effective immediately

A popular breakfast buy sold at Woolworths and Coles supermarkets nationally has been urgently recalled.

Mt Elephant Buttermylk Wholefood Pancake Mix 230g has been pulled from shelves after Food Standards Australia issued an urgent alert.

The recalled buy has been available at all Woolies and Coles stores across the country, as well as online.

Only products with a best before date of March 19, 2025, are affected by the recall.

Food Standards Australia said the product had been removed from stores due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (milk).

“Any consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” it warns.

Customers have been urged to take the following steps if they have purchased the recalled buy.

“Consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance should not consume this product,” Food Standards Australia says.

“Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
